Simple Tooth Extraction – When a tooth is too damaged to repair with a crown, it might be necessary to extract the tooth. A simple extraction is possible when the tooth is still visible above the gum line.

Surgical Extraction Erupted – In more serious cases, a surgical extraction may be required. In a surgical extraction, the dentist may have to remove gum tissue or a small amount of bone and use stitches to help the healing process.
