Exams and X-Rays

Initial Dental Exams – At Yes! Dental, we believe that relationships are essential to quality dental care. From your initial visit we’ll work to provide the highest quality care that is personalized to your needs. Your initial visit will include a cleaning, an overall oral health screening, and individual care based on your needs and wants.

Emergency Dental Exam – Regular dental care is essential to oral health, but sometimes emergencies happen, and you need dental services right away. At Yes! Dental we strive to be available for emergency dental needs at both our Grand Junction and Delta offices.

Periodic Dental Exam (6-month checkup): Our regular dental exams make it possible for you to be confident that you’re maintaining the best possible oral health. These periodic dental exams include more than just basic cleaning, as we also check for gingivitis, periodontal disease, and other preventative measures.

Complete Set of Dental X-rays – Dental X-Rays allow your dentist to better understand the overall state of your oral health. Dental radiographs (X-rays) can reveal hidden tooth decay, developing tumors, and cysts. A complete dental X-rays can reveal problems before they become serious – saving our patients both from unnecessary pain and expenses.

Single Dental X-Rays (for emergency exams) – Sometimes treating a dental emergency will require a single dental X-ray. At Yes! Dental we can get your X-ray accomplished as quickly as possible so that we can correct the dental emergency the correct way.

4 bitewing Dental X-Rays (Adult Check Up) – Bitewing dental X-rays allow your dentist to get a picture of your teeth above the gum line. These dental X-rays are perfect for diagnosing gum disease and cavities between teeth. For adult X-rays, Yes! Dental will take four bitewing X-rays to get a complete picture of your teeth.

2 Bitewing Dental X-Rays (Baby Teeth) – For patients that still have baby teeth, Yes! Dental can still perform bitewing dental X-rays to check for cavities, gum disease, and overall oral health.

Panorex Dental X-Ray – Yes! Dental also offers Panorex dental X-rays. This X-ray technique allows the dentist to get a picture of your entire mouth in a single image. A Panorex X-ray shows both the upper and lower jaws at the same time, making them perfect for diagnosing impacted teeth and other issues that might be missed on a bitewing X-ray.

Porcelain Crown (Milled in House) – A crown from Yes! Dental serves to protect a damaged tooth. Porcelain crowns are strong, highly stable, and matched to the natural color of your teeth. All our porcelain crowns are milled in house – giving us complete quality control over the finished product for our patients.

Resin Filling (Milled in House) – Unlike amalgam fillings, our resin fillings match the existing appearance of your teeth and allow us to repair teeth without the metal appearance of more traditional fillings.

PFM Crown – Porcelain fused to metal (PFM) crowns are made from a metal shell with a porcelain veneer. These crowns combine the strength of metal with the aesthetic qualities of porcelain.

Full Gold Crown – Gold crowns are made from a gold alloy and provide durability while being easy to maintain. Typically, gold crowns are used in posterior teeth where the gold will be less visible.

Core Build-Up (Filling Under Crown) – Occasionally, a tooth will need a large area of the core repaired before a crown can be applied. In these cases, Yes! Dental will perform a core buildup to repair the excessively damaged tooth.

Root Canals

Anterior Root Canal (Front Tooth) – A root canal involves removing infected dental pulp from a tooth’s root canals. Once that is accomplished, the canal is filled, and a crown or bridge is installed to complete to procedure. Our anterior root canals take special care to ensure that the final restoration is aesthetically pleasing and matches your healthy teeth.

Bicuspid Root Canal – A bicuspid root canal is very similar to an anterior root canal. As with the front teeth, your bicuspids are visible and so we take the time to ensure a clean finish that matches your existing teeth.

Molar Root Canal – Molar root canals are performed on the back teeth and follow the same procedure as above. Any infected dental pulp is removed, the root canal is filled, and a crown or bridge is used to restore the look and function of the tooth.

Complete Denture (Tier 1/Tier 2) – Complete dentures from Yes! Dental provide full-coverage prosthetics that replace a complete arch of missing teeth. Removable dentures provide a quick and cost-effective way to replace missing or damaged teeth.

Immediate Denture (Tier 1/Tier 2) – Immediate dentures provide same day replacements for removed teeth. Immediate dentures are fabricated before the removal of existing teeth and are ready for use from day one.

Upper or Lower Partial Denture – Partial dentures provide a removable replacement for when you are missing teeth but don’t need complete dentures. Partial dentures can be for a single tooth or multiple teeth.

Soft Reline – If your dentures are loose or causing sore gums, it might be time for a soft reline. A soft reline uses soft material to restore a proper fit between your gum tissue and your dentures.

Permanent Reline – Occasionally, dentures will require a permanent reline. This process uses a hard material that is similar to the existing denture base to refit your dentures to your existing gum tissue. Because of changes to our mouths over time, a permanent reline should be performed once every few years.

Amalgam Fillings (Silver) – Dental fillings are used to repair teeth that have been damaged by wear or decay. Amalgam fillings are silver in color and provide durability and strength at an economic price point.

Posterior & Anterior Tooth Color Fillings – Tooth colored filings are constructed from a resin ceramic and plastic compounds in a way that matches the color of your existing teeth. The color matching ability makes tooth color fillings perfect for teeth that are more visible.

Teeth Cleaning (Adults & Children) – Routine dental cleaning is the best thing you can do for your oral health. Our oral cleaning services allow for early detection and treatment – potentially saving our patients from the pain and expense of serious dental problems.

Debridement Dental Cleaning (Intense Cleaning) – Debridement cleaning is a deep cleaning technique that involves removing the accumulated plaque and tartar on your teeth. The work performed during a debridement cleaning will help to keep your teeth healthy in the long run.

Scaling and Root Planing – Scaling and root planing is a non-surgical periodontal therapy that removes the dental plaque and calculus. Once the plaque and calculus has been removed, we will smooth the exposed surfaces around the tooth root.

Periodontal Maintenance – Periodontal maintenance involves removing harmful bacteria from under the gumline to prevent and treat periodontal disease. Regular periodontal maintenance also removes tartar, whitens teeth, and creates fresh breath.

Fluoride Dental Treatment – Over time the protective enamel on our teeth are lost through a process called demineralization. A fluoride treatment deposits new minerals (remineralization) in order to repair the decay caused by remineralization.

Sealants per Tooth – Dental sealants add an extra layer of protection against tooth decay. Sealed teeth, with regular brushing and flossing, have a much higher resistance to cavities and enamel loss.

Simple Tooth Extraction – When a tooth is too damaged to repair with a crown, it might be necessary to extract the tooth. A simple extraction is possible when the tooth is still visible above the gum line.

Surgical Extraction Erupted – In more serious cases, a surgical extraction may be required. In a surgical extraction, the dentist may have to remove gum tissue or a small amount of bone and use stitches to help the healing process.

Implant Placement – Dental implants are metal posts that are placed into the jawbone for mounting tooth replacements. At Yes! Dental, we can place dental implants in a way that ensures your replacements are strong and solid.

Implant Ceramic Crown (milled in house) – Once an implant post is in place, we mill our own ceramic crowns in-house to ensure that you get the perfect fit. Our implant crowns are custom build to your mouth and existing teeth.

Stock Implant Abutment and Custom Implant Abutment – Our implant abutments help to give our implant ceramic crowns a lifelike appearance.

Temporary Abutment/Crown – Yes! Dental also provides temporary abutments and crowns to help our patients when they need a temporary solution to a lost or damaged crown.
